Not only is the stylish 25-year-old star so hands-on with the design process, but she is definitely the line’s biggest fan, constantly stepping out in her own designs! “I just made stuff that I want to wear, I was being selfish,” she admits. Rihanna was spotted out in New York last night partying with friends after news of her split with Chris Brown was confirmed. The ‘You Da One’ singer’s reunion with the R&B star was announced as being over by the male star during an interview in which he claimed he was too young to be in such a serious relationship.

Her recent split from Chris Brown was also considered a potential factor by some supporters after he admitted there romance was over at the weekend.

Just an hour later Rihanna seemingly hit back at what he had to say with her very own emotionally charged tweet.

After Rihanna Fenty missed out on Chris’ wild birthday weekend is there trouble between the couple? Chris said ‘I’m not wife-ing somebody’ in a new a revealing interview.

“I’mma do it solo,” Chris told the Aussie DJ. The R&B singer seems to intimate that his and Rihanna’s schedules unfortunately got in the way of their relationship, and that her inability to make it to his birthday celebrations may have been a factor too: “I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thing, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta move forward.”

Though Chris said he is “always gonna love” Rihanna, he talked about how he’s more focused on himself right now. “People have differences and people have different wants and needs,” he says. “At the end of the day she’s a young girl. I can’t be focused on wife-ing somebody that young… and I’m young too.” (more…)

The “Diamonds” singer, donated $1.75 million to a Barbados hospital in memory of her late grandmother, Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite, who died in June. She visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown along with her mother Monica Fenty and Dolly’s husband Lionel on Saturday, Dec. 22. In a statement to E! News, Rihanna said,

“This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program … I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”

Her generous donation, which led to the radiotherapy department at the hospital to be renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, has paid for vital pieces of medical equipment.

Rihanna broke the news of Gran Gran Dolly’s death on Twitter in July, writing, “Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you.”

The first-week sales figures for Rihanna latest record are in, and the news is good: Billboard reports that Unapologetic has landed at No. 1 this week, a career first. The album — her seventh in seven years — brought the singer her strongest sales week ever, with 238,000 copies sold.

This breaks Rihanna’s streak of having the most No. 1 hit songs without a No. 1 album. (Last week, her latest single “Diamonds” became her 12th to top the Hot 100, passing Whitney Houston to become the artist with the fourth-most top singles.)

“We are so proud and happy to deliver Rihanna her first #1 album in the U.S.,” Island Def Jam president Steve Bartels said in a statement. “Taking an unusually short runway and turning it to an advantage — like the unprecedented 777 Tour — is a testament to the teamwork, ingenuity, ethic, and belief in the legacy of this artist that showed in every single hand that touched this project.”

Before Unapologetic, Rihanna’s best sales week belonged to 2010′s Loud, which landed at No. 3 with 207,000 moved units, while her previous chart peak was 2007′s Good Girl Gone Bad, which debuted at No. 2 that year.

She has done it yet again. The iconic Barbados-born singer and actress, Rihanna recently released her seventh album and before she was even through promoting it in her 777 tour, the album had already hit the top of the charts in ten countries around the world. The 55 minutes and six seconds long album has generally received positive acclaim from many music critics.

Fast forwarding through the songs, the first thing you notice is the variety of genres incorporated into the album. The singer has definitely gone a long way in ensuring that listeners get a taste of everything from the retro and upbeat disco duet with Chris brown to the really personal ones like mother Mary and Love without Tragedy. Generally the album is in some ways much better than the previous ones. Dubbed the 777 tour, it saw the iconic singer and actress perform in seven countries round the world in an amazing seven nights. That is definitely a first in the music industry especially considering the long and tiring bus and plane rides. Regardless of the long and tiresome journeys Rihanna always managed to get the thousands of fans screaming and dancing to her beats.

As everyone usually is, I always eagerly waited to see what fashion ensemble she had on every night and fortunately she did not disappoint. For someone travelling to a new country every night she did look fresh and amazing.

Her vocal abilities were even more stunning than ever and I couldn’t resist the urge to sing along to every lyric. Along with her she also had three vocalists for the backup vocals. The end result as you might guess was pretty amazing. From the first show in Mexico City on 14th November to her last performance seven days later in New York it was a non-stop roller coaster of fun for many fans of her music. It was an unforgettable seven days.

The Diamonds tour kicks off in March 2013 and already the tickets are quickly selling.

It seems that the Barbados-born, 24 year old singer has yet much to offer to the music world.
