Rihanna enjoyed the kind of success most artists can only dream of, and swept the board at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards with an impressive four prizes. But rather than travel to Las Vegas to mingle with the great and good of the music industry at the annual ceremony, Rihanna chose to spend Sunday night having a low-key dinner.

Snubbing the awards altogether, the 25-year-old singer headed out for a casual bite to eat at G. Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, California, while her showbiz pals partied up a storm in Sin City. That same day, the 25-year-old entertainer was one of the biggest winners at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards – she won all three R&B categories and Top Radio Songs Artist.

“Thank you #BILLBOARD for showing my fans the love they deserve!!,” Ri wrote on her Twitter account. “I’m truly grateful for these 4 awards that you’ve rewarded us! Thank you again!!”

Round Chanel glasses added the perfect finishing touches to her warm-weather get-up. The star was clearly keeping it casual and relaxing at her hotel, which is why her flat sandals were the perfect choice of footwear.

The saucy Bajan beauty – known for her risque outfit choices – made a bold statement when she stepped out wearing a T-shirt printed with a sexually explicit image alongside the slogan “D.I.Y.” The quirky fashion choice comes after Chris told an Australian radio station that he was “gonna do it solo” as he confirmed the couple had ended their romance.

He said: “I’m gonna do it solo. At the end of the day Shawty doing her own thing, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta fast forward.”

The 25-year-old pop star displayed her enviable midriff in a black cropped-bomber jacket, grey woolen pencil skirt, and black strappy stilettos. The Barbadian songstress also showcased her new blonder weave, which was coiffed into soft waves cascading down her right shoulder.

Rihanna also revealed a hint of the sexy body harness she was wearing underneath her jacket. She was accompanied to her trailer by her BFF Melissa Forde, who also serves as the official photographer for her Diamonds World Tour.

The 25-year-old pop star—who is no stranger to trying out new hairstyles—flaunted her new fringe, short hair and choppy layers as she stepped out of her car, looking chic in cropped leather pants and pointed-toe flats, which she accessorized with a bright red clutch and black collar necklace.

According to her Twitter, RiRi was busy with two photoshoots yesterday—one for her River Island clothing collection and another for her partnership with MAC makeup—so it’s possible she snagged the apparent wig during her busy day. No word yet whether the style was simply for a fun night out or whether Rihanna plans to remain a blond bombshell for some time.
