It’s really fascinating when making sense of our beloved Rihanna. This is because we get to experience the bona fide phenomenon of an audacious performer who has over the years cranked hit after hit. And like any other humans beings she must have an origin which we take a look at.
Every artist has to at least spend some time with loved ones, and dear Robyn Rihanna Fenty is no exception. Her original home land is in Saint Michael Barbados where her family is said to live. Her father is Ronald Fenty. He is of Barbadian and Irish descent. Rihanna’s mother, Monica Braithwaite is a retired Afro-Guyanese accountant who has often accompanied her to most of her gigs.
Rihanna has two brothers, Rajad Fenty and Rorrey Fenty from his father Ronald Fenty’s 14 year marriage to mum Monica. She also has other siblings, a half brother and two half sisters from previous relationships in her father life. Samantha, Kandy and Brother Jamie are the names of Rihanna’s half siblings.
Her eldest sister, Kandy has made her a proud aunt and they share several photos showing the two back in the days when lovely Rihanna was still unknown. They have a very strong relationship between them and Kandy is even quoted saying that, too her Rihanna was still cool way before she became famous. We all know her as Rihanna but her two nieces Brandy and Crystal call her aunt Robyn. Not only do the two absolutely love her, but they also present stiff competition as devoted fans that I wouldn’t mind sharing Rihanna with.
Samantha lost contact with Rihanna’s dad when they separated with her mother. Seven years later, she discovered that his dad had remarried and she had a sister by the name Robyn Rihanna Fenty. The two are very identical and friends even recall Samantha saying that she was the sister she always wanted. They even say that Rihanna’s mom treated her as if she were her own daughter. Samantha is equally beautiful and has a very good voice though the only singing she does is in church. Wouldn’t it be lovely if she too went public and then we’d have two Rihanna’s? I’ll leave you to ponder. She was a model at her school and took her studies seriously.
Rihanna is also very close with brothers Rorrey and Rajad and even sent them birthday wishes while she was on her way to see Arcade Fire at Coachella. Rihanna and all her siblings get along pretty well and are the picture perfect definition of one big happy family. The family recently lost their grandmother, Clara ‘Dolly’ Braithwaite, to cancer. This prompted her to a break so that she could mourn her. Rihanna and family received a lot of support from fans all over the world.
Ronald is actually very proud of all his six children and treats them all equally. He once revealed that Rihanna was just three when she first sang in front of a mirror using a hairbrush for a microphone, how cute. Rihanna’s family is fiercely loyal to her despite the fact that the multi-millionaire’s life is worlds away from their own in terms of distance.
